This Dulwich project began as an overlooked strip of lawn hemmed in by fences. We reshaped the levels with sandstone steps and a sunken seating terrace, softened every hard edge with native grasses and shrub planting, and added low-level lighting so the space works as well after dark as it does at midday. The result is a garden that feels larger, calmer, and usable in every season.
